White House, US Capitol emptied in plane scare

From a report filed by CBC Radio's Washington correspondent; aired on the World At Six (note the contrast and irony):

...Friends and family of the two say they simply went off course trying to fly to an air show. Instead, they put on a very different kind of show - one that's being seen around the globe - of the capital of the world's most powerful nation sent into a seeming panic, by a puny plane that may have simply got lost.
